Whistler, Arc 1950… and Flaine. Intrawest are well into their newest European development; Flaine Montsoleil. For those of you that know of Flaine and its 70’s Bauhaus design you are probably wondering why Intrawest have chosen to build a Ski in/out, 4* pedestrian resort here. That’s when the people who really know Flaine and its fabulous ski area, unbeatable alpine ambiance and perfect location from Geneva will agree that it’s not only a good choice but a welcome make-over for this super little resort. Flaine has always been popular with the skiing ‘underground’ of the UK market and tends to attract people looking for a more 'authentic' French ski holiday experience. Intrawest plan to build a Arc 1950 like, self contained resort that is set slightly above the Flaine Foret area. This is bound to attract a variety of people and the talk is they plan to heavily discount their holiday prices to attract attention much like Arc 1950 did. Skitracer will be offering apartments in the new complex and hope to have the prices soon.
